Product Manager - Data Strategy & New Opportunities

About the Role

We are seeking a Product Manager to identify and validate new opportunities to monetize our client's proprietary data assets.

Working closely with the existing Data Product Director & Manager, this role will focus on assessing data assets, identifying customer problems, developing new use cases, testing concepts with prospective customers, and creating business cases for priority opportunities.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Assess internal data assets for quality, coverage, differentiation, restrictions, and commercial potential.
  • Identify new data product, analytics, and embedded-insight opportunities.
  • Facilitate workshops with subject-matter experts and cross-functional stakeholders.
  • Conduct customer interviews and validate problems, use cases, data requirements, and willingness to pay.
  • Develop opportunity assessments, value propositions, preliminary pricing, and business cases.
  • Support customer pilots and proofs of concept.
  • Maintain an opportunity pipeline and recommend priorities for investment.
  • Partner with the existing Product Manager to transition validated opportunities into product development.

Qualifications

  • 10+ years of experience in product management, strategy, consulting, data products, analytics, or business development.
  • Experience with customer discovery, market assessment, and business case development.
  • Ability to evaluate data or technology assets for commercial opportunities.
  • Strong analytical, communication, facilitation, and stakeholder-management skills.

Experience in financial services, compliance, fintech, data monetization, or information services preferred.
